A great tune to start the day with, soothing instrumental tech metal (fusion):
Twitter It!If you are a fan of SikTh and/or The Agonist, and you wondered what might happen if you crossbred those bands and added a little Dillinger Escape Plan?
Then this one’s for you!!
Hey! look what cool power-metal band I just discovered! Cool high pitch vocals and sweet licks.

Hailing from The Netherlands are the death metal formation The Lucifer Principle (TLP), who have released their second album Welcome To Bloodshed earlier this year.
Amongst the great selection of deathmetal albums to choose from, are some gems that really stand out. This is one of them, TLP bring a fresh twist to the genre you could call ‘groove death metal’ or like the band refers to themselves as: Stompin’ Death. Or, raw growls, groovy (upright-/contra-) bass lines and catchy guitar-riffs laced with qualitative yet not overly elaborate solos.
As for the content of the album, track by track, I should mention this is a concept album. Meaning the whole album is a tale of a fictional town called Bloodshed, that isn’t the peaceful haven it at first seems to be. Listen closely to hear the whole story.
There is no one song that stands out in a bad way, though Born In Bloodshed, Bond Of Supremacy. and Basement are the ones that really do it for me, ranking very close to Amon Amarth’s excellent Twilight Of The Thundergod album.
The recording and mixing quality are excellent, and it all sounds so good you’d only want to be listening to the album with the volume cranked all the way open. One thing is clear, this is a corker of a disc everyone who likes his/her death metal with a fresh twist should check out.

This progressive black metal tune has been my favorite for weeks about a year, I still love it so much today.
